My role: TRAINEE EDITOR
I began working on One Born as a Trainee Editor on series 7 and 8, and continued to work on the fixed rig program up until the final series in 2018. I received training in Avid Media Composer, and I was mentored by experienced Editors over the course of the scheme.
With the exceptionally large quantities of rushes shot over many weeks on multiple cameras, I became proficient at interrogating over 3000 hours of observational material, utilising over 40 audio channels, and identifying key story moments. I would also cut scenes for episodes when needed and worked closely with the editor to construct the pre-title sequence.
